Defining the Future of Fashion

Recently, Media Agility Entertainment organized its' first ever couture show - MAE Couture Show, which took place on 2 nd of August, 2018 at Roseate House, Aerocity, New Delhi. It was an exclusively curated show featuring exhibitions by five aspiring and prospective couturiers followed by a runway.

The MAE Couture Show was conceptualized and executed while keeping in mind to bring a revolution in the fashion industry. This show helped in defining the future of fashion industry as it was consistent with the mission to connect retailers, designers, and brides & grooms in innovative ways.

With an aim of being committed to supporting the vibrancy of the wedding fashion industry MAE Couture Show helped in launching new designers, expanding store collections, and ultimately, will help brides & grooms to find their unique wedding style.

Red Rocks Entertainment (organizer of the Da-Bangg tour) proudly associated to be the title investor of the show. ApiRuche Spalon was the makeup and styling partner along with Preeti Mohan being the jewellery partner and Threads’ café as the FnB partner.

The five talented designers who showcased their cutting- edge ensembles were - Junne Couture, Rabiya Savlani, Akshar Bhan, Aseesha, and Just3preety.

Junne Couture’s collection – Helen was aimed at bringing out the fun element by the means of including feather, fringes, and ruffles. The collection was created using a lot of silks and organzas, beautifully hand crafted crystals, sequins, and all the glittery & shimmery stuff.

Rabiya Savlani’s collection – Zuri Sapphire was an Indian and contemporary fusion, striking the right balance between the quintessential Indian heritage craftsmanship and modern form of clothing.

Akshar Bhan’s collection - Nakkashi was meant for the new age spirited bride, where the intricate embroidery brought alive the Indian art and architecture in its full bloom. It was created using rich ethnic fabrics. Each ensemble was ingeniously crafted with unique motifs exuding perfection and grace based more the royal richness of colors and textures of the fabric that reflected the magnificence of Indian heritage.

Aseesha’s collection - Mayra as the name suggests, was an ode to beloved Mother Nature. This collection was a true depiction of celebrated pastoral & Indian values. Pastel shades were used and it was a curated collection of rich Indian textiles and handcraftsmanship.

Just3Preety’s collection – Marigold, derived its’ inspiration from the layers of a flower. Like a flower, a saree too has drapes and this was what the collection represented. Along with the floral patterns, a lot of layering pattering was used. This collection brought with it some traditional and alternative ways to drape saree, and switch up a traditional look.

The very gorgeous and charismatic, Sukhmai Lamba was the show stopper of the evening. Designers, buyers, stylists, media and industry leaders viewed the collections, made selections, and kicked-off the couture fashion buying season. There was also a meet & greet session with the designers and the show ended on a promising note of coming soon with a grandeur event.
